Take part – KWT’s Wildlife Photography Competition…

Orchid Meadow Sunrise
By David Jenner

Kent Wildlife Trust has launched its eighth Wildlife Photography Competition and is calling upon keen amateur photographers to help capture the splendour of the Kent countryside, coastline and wildlife this spring and summer.

The prize competition is free to enter and offers four categories: Best Flora; Best Fauna; Best Landscape, Coastline and People; and Best Junior (17 years and under).

Photos will be judged by an expert panel, chaired by Kent resident, Phil Hurst, formerly of the Natural History Museum Photographic Unit, and now a freelance wildlife photographer and tutor, who will be paying special attention to the originality of the shots and the ingenuity of the photographers.

For an entry form and conditions of entry go to www.kentwildlifetrust.org.uk or call Kent Wildlife Trust on 01622 662012 or e-mail [email protected] for a paper copy.

In addition to the prizes, all winners get a splendid engraved glass trophy, and have their photos published in the Trust’s magazine – Wild Kent – and on its website.

The last date for receipt of entries is 4th September 2015.

Once again, the competition is generously sponsored by The BarnYard restaurant and farm shop at Upchurch, who will be hosting the awards evening in the autumn.
