Maidstone School is Immortalised ‘In the Stars’
Harrietsham Church of England Primary School near Maidstone in Kent has been gifted a real named star to celebrate the recent announcement that local housebuilder Barratt Homes has retained its five star status in the new Home Builders Federation Customer Satisfaction Survey.
As part of the housebuilders’ commitment to support local schools in close proximity to its developments, and thanks to its new homes at Saxon Place situated on Ashford Road in Harrietsham, Harrietsham C of E Primary School has had the privilege of being immortalised in the sky.
The star rating results awarded are based on what proportion of respondents would recommend the housebuilder to a friend. The five star rating means that over 90% of people would recommend Barratt Homes to a friend; marking a significant victory for the housebuilder. This is the eighth consecutive year that the company has achieved this impressive result. To celebrate the achievement, five schools across the region have been donated a real star, which coincides with when Venus meets Jupiter on 13th November 2017.
Natalie Perry, Director of Sales & Marketing for Barratt Kent says: “We are delighted to have been awarded five star status for an eighth consecutive year. To donate these stars to local schools feels like an excellent way to celebrate while honoring our ongoing commitment to support the local community. The gifted star also includes educational materials on astronomy, which we hope will benefit the schools learning.”
Ms Oliver, Headteacher at Harrietsham C of E Primary School, says: “A named star is a lovely way to get children excited about science, and the additional materials provided will further support their education. It is a unique gift from Barratt Homes and one that will undoubtedly stimulate learning and interest in astronomy.”
The other schools in Kent to benefit from the Barratt Homes donation include Willesborough Primary School located near to the Chestnut Grange development near Ashford and Cherry Tree Orchard Primary Academy near to the Castle Hill development in Ebbsfleet.
