Ready, Steady, Cook Challenge Comes to Maidstone this Saturday!

This Saturday, Maidstone town centre will host the biggest recycling event of the year when the Green Jubilee lands in Jubilee Square. People of all ages will enjoy a host of fun activities including cooking demonstrations, a Ready Steady Cook competition with celebrity chef Richard Fox, street entertainers, costumed performers and more. There will also be free giveaways, a lucky dip and a competition for children to design a recycling truck.

The Love Food Hate Waste roadshow will be on site, dispensing practical information and handy hints to help residents reduce their food waste, including recipes for creating tasty meals from leftovers.

The event runs from 10am – 4pm and entrance is free.
