Summer Fun in Maidstone #1
There are hundreds of family friendly things to do in Maidstone over the summer holidays and here is the latest offering from Maidstone Museum – where they are bringing fun back to board games!
Maidstone Museum is running a packed programme of children’s activities themed around their latest exhibition ‘Game Plan: Board Games Rediscovered’. Workshops run every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until 24th August and are perfect for mini-gamers aged from 4 – 11 years.
There are 3 sessions per day with a maximum of 20 children in each, so there is plenty of opportunity to get involved. Each week will take a different board game as the basis for creating inspiring new designs including Guess Who?, traditional draughts and tic tac toe. In the final week, children will be challenged to invent their own game, starting with a blank base board and letting their imagination run wild!
Tickets cost just £3 per child or 2 for £5 and can be booked online via the museum website – www.maidstonemuseum.org.
